
Catherine D. Battista is an attorney with the Argento Law Group where she uses her litigation background to help clients achieve results in civil and criminal disputes. Ms. Battista began her legal career as an assistant state's attorney where she prosecuted thousands of criminal offenders in bench and jury trials. Ms. Battista left the state's attorney's office to pursue a career in private practice where she continued to achieve results for individuals in personal injury, criminal defense and appellate cases. Ms. Battista has also achieved successful outcomes for clients who were the victims of nursing home abuse and neglect.
Ms. Battista recently obtained a $718,346.50 verdict in an international interference with inheritance case in Cook County.
Ms. Battista graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2002 and received her law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2005. Ms. Battista is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois, the Northern District of Illinois (Trial Bar) and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Ms. Battista was recently identified as a "Rising Star" by Illinois Super Lawyers magazine for the second year in a row. She has published articles in law journals and also wrote the Nobel Peace Prize nomination for a controversial Illinois political figure.
